What is Steamoji?

Steamoji is a maker academy for children ages 5–15 that complements and enriches school learning through hands-on experiences in engineering, coding, robotics, fabrication, science, and digital arts. Alongside technical skills, we focus on building critical thinking, creativity, confidence, a growth mindset, and entrepreneurial thinking.

What Are We Looking For?

We are looking for a Lead Facilitator who is confident, engaging, and passionate about working with children and technology. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys leading a classroom, mentoring other facilitators, and creating an inspiring learning environment.

As a Lead Facilitator, you’ll take ownership of sessions, support apprentices through their Steamoji missions, and help guide and mentor facilitators-in-training — all while ensuring a safe, fun, and high-quality experience for our students.

Responsibilities:

- Lead and oversee the delivery of the Steamoji curriculum during sessions
- Create a positive, protected, and engaging learning environment for apprentices
- Guide and mentor facilitators and assistants during sessions




- Connect with leads and support customers when needed
- Review instructional materials and videos prior to sessions
- Work closely with small groups (4–5 apprentices) to complete STEAM missions
- Support apprentices through hands-on building, coding, and design activities
- Ensure proper use of tools, equipment, and adherence to safety protocols
- Provide feedback to parents and contribute to session documentation (photos/videos/artifacts)
- Assist with basic administrative responsibilities, such as attendance tracking, session preparation, organizing materials, and supporting day-to-day academy operations
- Uphold and promote Steamoji’s core values and company culture

Qualifications

- Intermediate/Advanced knowledge of coding, robotics, engineering, and 3D design.
- Passion for STEM education and inspiring young learners.
- Experience working with children in an educational, camp, or mentorship setting
- Previous facilitation, teaching, or leadership experience
- Confident communicator with both children and adults
- Energetic, patient, and enthusiastic with a passion for STEM education
- Strong teamwork and leadership skills in a collaborative environment
- Willingness to mentor and support newer facilitators

Job Type: Part-time

Hours: Up to 20 hours per week

- Monday-Friday: 2:00–7:00 PM
- Saturdays: 11:00 AM–3:00 PM
