Depending on the client’s assessed care plan and the caregiver’s qualifications, responsibilities may include:

* Providing respectful companionship and emotional support

* Assisting clients with bathing, grooming, dressing, oral hygiene and toileting

* Supporting continence care while preserving dignity and privacy

* Assisting with walking, positioning and mobility

* Assisting with transfers using approved techniques, care plans and appropriate equipment

* Preparing nutritious meals and snacks

* Encouraging hydration and regular meals

* Providing medication reminders or permitted medication assistance in accordance with the documented care plan, caregiver training and Royalty Home Care policy

* Providing dementia-friendly care, reassurance, cueing and redirection

* Supporting clients with routines, hobbies, conversation, music, walks and meaningful activities

* Performing light housekeeping related to the client’s daily living needs

* Completing laundry, changing bed linens and maintaining an orderly living environment

* Accompanying clients to appointments, shopping or community activities when authorized





* Providing respite support for family caregivers

* Observing and promptly reporting changes in a client’s condition, behaviour, mobility or home setting

* Completing accurate and timely visit notes

* Reporting incidents, hazards, injuries, medication concerns or suspected abuse immediately

* Following infection-prevention, hand-hygiene and personal-protective-equipment procedures

* Following client-specific safety plans, working-alone procedures and emergency protocols

* Protecting client confidentiality and personal information

* Maintaining appropriate professional boundaries

* Completing only duties that are within the caregiver’s training, assigned role and documented care plan

This is primarily a non-medical home-care position. Caregivers must not independently perform nursing procedures, change prescribed treatments or provide services outside their training and authorized scope.

Pay: $18.25-$30.00 per hour
