Robert Half is partnering with a client in the residential construction industry to identify an Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable Clerk. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on, day-to-day transactional accounting work and can support both payables and receivables functions in a fast-paced environment. Experience in real estate or construction is a plus, but not required. Based on general knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:
Process vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner
Match invoices to purchase orders and supporting documentation
Manage check runs, ACH payments, and vendor payment inquiries
Maintain vendor files and assist with W-9 collection and 1099 preparation
Prepare and issue customer invoices
Post customer payments and apply cash receipts
Monitor aging reports and follow up on outstanding balances
Reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable discrepancies
Assist with month-end close, account reconciliations, and reporting
Support ad hoc administrative and accounting projects as needed

2+ years of experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, or general accounting support
Comfortable handling high-volume transactional work
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Proficiency in Excel and accounting software
Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external vendors/customers
Experience in residential construction, real estate, or a related industry is preferred, but not required
