Duties
- Prepare ingredients and assist in meal preparation according to restaurant recipes and standards
- Cook menu items efficiently while maintaining quality and presentation standards
- Handle food safely, following all food handling and sanitation procedures
- Assist with plating dishes for service, ensuring timely delivery to customers
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, cooking equipment, and storage areas
- Support other kitchen staff during busy periods and collaborate as part of a cohesive team
- Follow all health and safety regulations related to food safety and workplace safety
- Assist in inventory management by organizing supplies and notifying management of stock needs
Experience
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environment preferred but not required
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and meal assembly
- Familiarity with food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Experience in serving or working directly with customers is a plus
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness and safety standards
