Note: This is a full time seasonal job. We are offering both 5 days a week Fulltime 45+. However, Saturdays may be necessary due to weather and weekly hours change season to season. Full participation in snow removal and professional development is expected in the offseason.

Experience is an asset but not necessary, successful candidate will be training in truck with experienced lead until Labour Day.

Job purpose:

1. ACCOMPLISH QUALITY GROUNDS MAINTENANCE

Safely & efficiently perform lawn and garden maintenance using power mower, grass and hedge trimmers and other landscape maintenance equipment. Supervise and co-ordinate these same activities by assistants ensuring work is completed in a safe and efficient manner.

2. MAINTAIN LANDSCAPE ENVIRONMENTS

Cut lawns, edge, fertilize, weed and cultivate gardens, deadhead, prune shrubs and trees, maintain, and assess and trouble-shoot irrigation systems as required. Drive a truck and trailer to achieve this.

3. ENHANCE GROUNDS

Spread soil, manure and mulch, aerate, overseed and plant as required.

4. ASSURE QUALITY CLIENT RELATIONS

Assess potential problems and improvements and meet client requests and concerns in a timely, friendly and courteous manner. Leave each property clean and maintained before proceeding to next location.

5. ADHERE TO THE TRAINING MANUAL

Carry out all aspects of work in adherence to the Employee training manual.

6. MAINTAIN ASSIGNED VEHICLES AND EQUIPMENT

Perform daily/weekly maintenance and servicing.

7. ADHERE TO GROUNDS MAINTENANCE SCHEDULE

Service all assigned properties on a weekly basis in a safe and efficient manner, maximizing profitability.

8. MANDATORY PARTICIPATION IN SNOW REMOVAL SERVICE

Be available to provide safe, efficient and damage-free snow removal service in a timely manner.

9. KEEP RECORDS





Keep accurate electronic records and submit them daily.

10. PARTICIPATE IN A SAFETY CULTURE

In all aspects of work participate within a culture that emphasizes secure work habits, including maintaining safe Covid19 protocols.

JOB AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

·Valid Driver’s License

· Safe & efficient operation of small engine equipment

· Safe & professional operation of a truck and landscape trailer

· Knowledge of all related hand & power equipment

· Knowledge in lawn and gardening maintenance practices including plant identification

· General knowledge of irrigation systems and related part requirements. A few years of industry experience

· Have ability to encourage & promote teamwork

· Have good oral communication, job task planning & organizing, writing & reading text

· Complete knowledge of company safety standards, procedures and policies and adhere to such

· Adhere to company dress code to reflect a neat and skilled image

· Embrace a culture of continuous learning

- An android or apple smartphone is required for this position.
