The Fairfield Gonzales Community Association (FGCA) is recruiting for an independent, curious and collaborative

individual ECE to join our fantastic Early Years Team. Working in the Huckleberry Infant-Toddler Program, the successful
individual will be part of a dynamic team that is responsible for the oversight of 8 children aged 10m-3years in an

outdoor focused program.

Compensation and schedule:

➢ ECE Classification wage range: $33.80-$35.35/hour ~Including BC WE & dependent on education & experience
➢ Vacation: 3 weeks paid vacation + 1 week of paid closure during the winter break (4 weeks total).
➢ Schedule: Monday-Friday, 37.5 hours per week, 7.5-8-hour shifts scheduled between 7:30am & 5:30pm
➢ Advantages: RRSP matching, extended health & dental (70% Employer paid) & paid sick time (14 days/yr)

Program Details:

➢ Location: 1330 Fairfield Road
➢ Outdoor program:



4-6 hours of the day is spent outdoors on our beautiful grounds.
➢ Our Early Years programs close 3 times a year for 1 week, 5 days for professional development days & has 5

early dismissal days per year for staff meetings

Requirements: Responsibilities:
➢ Must hold an Infant Toddler Educator license to ➢ Work in-ratio with a group of up to 8 children,

practice. alongside fellow ECES
➢ Experience working in licensed childcare setting ➢ A propensity for flexibility and a desire to

with children ages 10m-3yrs motivate fellow colleagues
➢ Demonstrated ability creating a safe and ➢ Attend all scheduled professional development

inclusive childcare environment days & staff meetings
➢ Ability to work outdoors for extended periods of ➢ Communicate with parents & colleagues daily in

time & lift 20-30lbs order to create an open and collaborative
➢ Must hold a valid Standard First Aid and CPR (C) environment

➢ Follow the BC Early Learning Framework
