We are seeking a motivated and dependable DZ DRIVER to join our agile logistics team! In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating commercial vehicles to transport freight efficiently and securely. Your expertise in heavy equipment operation, automotive repair, and freight handling will ensure timely deliveries and uphold our commitment to safety and customer satisfaction. Duties
- Safely operate commercial trucks with a DZ license to transport freight across designated routes COLLINWOOD TO BARRIE USING A 26 FT BOX TRUCK
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts and other heavy equipment, ensuring proper handling and securement of goods
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and basic automotive repairs to maintain optimal safety standards
- Verify freight documentation, ensuring accuracy in delivery details and compliance with transportation regulations
- Maintain detailed logs of trips, deliveries, inspections, and maintenance activities for accountability
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and clients to coordinate pickups and deliveries
- Follow all safety protocols, traffic laws, and company policies to promote a secure working environment
Skills
- Valid DZ driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Proficiency in forklift operation and heavy equipment handling
- Experience with freight transportation and commercial driving regulations
- Basic automotive repair skills for troubleshooting vehicle issues on the road
- Strong organizational skills to manage delivery schedules and documentation efficiently
- Excellent communication skills for clear coordination with team members and clients
- Ability to operate heavy machinery safely while adhering to safety standards
