Global Mission of the position

Under the supervision of the Procurement Specialist, the Inventory Control, Receiving & Shipping Clerk is responsible for receiving, inspecting, documenting, storing, and controlling inventory of materials, supplies, parts, and equipment used in lumber mill operations.

YOUR BIG RESPONSABILITIES

- Receive, inspect, document, and store incoming materials and supplies
- Maintain accurate inventory records and perform cycle counts and audits
- Monitor stock levels and investigate inventory discrepancies
- Support purchasing activities and provide backup procurement coverage
- Organize warehouse operations and safely operate material-handling equipment
- Coordinate shipping, repairs, warranty returns, and vendor communications
- Track fuel usage and generate weekly/monthly reports




- Follow up on outstanding supplier orders and reorders
- Performs other duties as assigned to be deemed in the best interest of the organization.

REQUIREMENTS - QUALIFICATIONS AND ASSETS - TECHNICAL KNOLEDGE AND GENERIC SKILLS

High school diploma or GED.
- 2–5 years of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, stores management, receiving, or procurement support.
- Experience using ERP, CMMS, or inventory management systems
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and remain on your feet for extended periods.
- Ability to operate an electric pallet jack

Preferred

- Post-secondary education in supply chain, logistics, business administration, or a related field.
- Experience in manufacturing, forestry, sawmill, lumber, or industrial environments.
