Overview

We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Summer Camp Leaders to join our team and create a fun, safe, and engaging environment for children during our summer programs. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with children, foster their development, and lead a variety of educational and recreational activities. Ideal candidates will have a passion for working with kids, strong leadership skills, and experience in early childhood education or related fields. The Summer Camp Leader will be instrumental in ensuring a memorable summer experience for all participants while promoting safety and positive behavior.

Responsibilities

- Lead and facilitate a variety of camp activities, including arts and crafts, sports, games, and educational projects
- Supervise children to ensure their safety and well-being at all times
- Assist with planning and organizing daily schedules and special events
- Foster a positive, inclusive environment that encourages teamwork, creativity, and fun
- Provide tutoring or educational support as needed to enhance learning experiences
- Maintain open communication with parents and guardians regarding camper progress and concerns




- Enforce camp rules and promote respectful behavior among participants
- Assist with setting up and cleaning activity areas before and after sessions
- Support fellow staff members in managing group dynamics and ensuring smooth operations

Qualifications

- Must have First Aid certificate
- Prior experience working with children in educational or recreational settings is preferred
- Background in tutoring, teaching, or early childhood education is highly desirable
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and engage children of various ages
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and team members
- Ability to plan, organize, and adapt activities based on group needs
- Reliable, responsible, and committed to creating a positive camp experience
- Must be energetic, patient, and enthusiastic about working outdoors and in active environments

Pay: $18.25-$20.00 per hour
