We're a hands-on, fast-paced team and are currently hiring a reliable Full-Time Temporary Yard Laborer to support our operations at our yard location.

Position Overview:
Are you someone who enjoys working outdoors, staying active, and being part of a tight-knit team? BDS is looking for a dependable and motivated Yard Laborer to help keep our yard running smoothly and efficiently. This role offers variety every day — from shunting trailers and organizing equipment to running for parts and assisting our mechanics and drivers. If you take pride in hard work, staying organized, and want to grow within the heavy haul industry, we want to hear from you. A Class 3 license is required, and Class 1 is a strong asset as you’ll be moving trucks and trailers around the yard and occasionally picking up essential parts from our vendors.

Key Responsibilities:

- Safely shunt and reposition trucks and trailers within the BDS yard, and help transport equipment to third party shops
- Pick up and deliver parts from vendors using company vehicles
- Load/unload materials, assist drivers and mechanics as needed
- Maintain yard organization and cleanliness
- Operate equipment such as skid steer, lawn mower, or weed trimmer
- Perform seasonal maintenance (snow removal,



mowing, etc.)
- Report any equipment issues, damage, or safety concerns promptly
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures

Qualifications:

- Minimum Class 3 driver’s license required; Class 1 preferred
- Clean driver’s abstract
- Flagger training
- Familiarity with driving and maneuvering trucks/trailers in a yard setting
- Experience working in a transportation, construction, or heavy equipment yard is an asset
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and working outdoors in all conditions
- Strong organizational skills and reliability
- Knowledge of basic yard tools and equipment
