JOB TITLE: Locum Clinical Pharmacist (Injection & OAT Certified)
LOCATION: Northern Alberta (Rural/Remote Community)
DURATION: August 16, 2026 – January 29, 2027
SCHEDULE: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (NO Weekends!)
RATE: $100.00 per Hour (Guaranteed)

Ready to swap gridlock for the Northern Lights? We're looking for a capable, self-driven Pharmacist to lead a quick-paced, high-volume practice in a vibrant Northern Alberta community. This isn't just a locum placement—it's a five-month financial move that can dramatically boost your savings while putting you right in the middle of breathtaking Canadian wilderness.

The Opportunity by the Numbers:

- Weekly gross: $4,000 (40 hours)
- Estimated contract total: ~$88,000–$92,000 for only 5 months

The Role:
As the lead pharmacist in a busy dispensary filling around 300 prescriptions per day, you'll need to stay accurate and composed under pressure while embracing the clinical side of practice.

- Injection certification is required, and you must be comfortable administering immunizations—this is a highly utilized community service.
- Experience with Methadone/Suboxone and OAT programs is essential; you’ll manage and support these patients every day.

- You’ll have full support from technicians and assistants, but you’ll be the key clinical decision-maker.

The Northern Alberta Lifestyle:
Your shift ends at 5:00 PM sharp, and with long weekends and no commute, you'll have time to explore:

- Winter sports like snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, and ice fishing right outside your door.
- The Aurora Borealis glowing over the dark winter sky.
- Bison, moose, and elk in the wild—real encounters you won't find in the city.
- Warm, down-to-earth northern communities that make you feel welcome.

Requirements:

- Active Alberta Pharmacy License or immediate eligibility.
- Active Injection Certification.
- OAT experience (comfortable with Methadone/Suboxone maintenance).
- Ability to manage a high-volume dispensary (300+ rx/day) with speed and precision.
- Availability for the entire contract: August 16, 2026 – January 29, 2027 (no breaks/vacations mid-contract).

Why wait? Commit to five focused months, bank roughly $90K, and use your weekends to discover a part of Canada most people only see in photos.
