Duties
- Supervise daily centre activities, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to safety protocols
- Lead and support a team of educators and caregivers, providing mentorship and professional development opportunities
- Coordinate classroom schedules, lesson plans, and activities that promote early childhood development
- Foster positive relationships with children, families, and community partners to create an inclusive environment
- Ensure compliance with licensing regulations, health and safety standards, and organizational policies
- Monitor classroom environments for quality assurance, including classroom experience and caregiving practices
- Assist with onboarding new staff members and facilitate ongoing training related to working with individuals with disabilities and teaching strategies
Qualifications
- Proven classroom experience in early childhood education or related fields
- Experience working with children, including those with disabilities or special needs
- Strong background in caregiving, teaching, or early childhood development principles
- Knowledge of best practices in early childhood education and inclusive care approaches
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and support staff effectively
- Effective communication skills for engaging with children, families, and team members
- Certification or training in early childhood education is preferred; relevant caregiving certifications are a plus
