Summary
We are seeking a friendly, efficient and quick learner to join our front of house team at Ricky's All Day Grill in Courtenay. Its a multi-faceted role where you may have to change the hats frequently. You might be welcoming the guests as a host, might be serving them, might be doing a little bit of bar tending, and bussing too whenever required. You need to be a very keen observer to see what's happening around you and pick up the required hat on your own with least supervision.
Responsibilities
Greet and serve customers with a warm and professional attitude.
- Take orders accurately and efficiently using POS systems.
- Handle cash transactions and process payments accurately.
- Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are maintained.
- Assist in food preparation and kitchen duties as needed.
- Enhance guest experience by suggesting various food dishes and specials,
and thus establishing a strong relationship with the Guests. (VERY IMPORTANT)
- Maintain cleanliness of dining area and workstations.
- Collaborate with team members to deliver exceptional service.
- Qualifications
- Proven experience in AMERICAN food service casual dining restaurants PREFERRED.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor.
- Ability to handle cash and operate POS systems efficiently.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
- Must be proactive and have excellent observation skills
- Excellent time management and multitasking abilities.
- Basic math skills for cash handling.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment.
