We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Pedorthist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will specialize in the design, fitting, and modification of orthopedic footwear and orthotic devices to improve patients' mobility and comfort. This role offers an opportunity to work closely with patients, healthcare providers, and specialists to deliver personalized foot care solutions. A strong understanding of medical terminology and patient-centered care is essential for success in this position. C.Ped (C).
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ feet, gait, and lower limb biomechanics to determine appropriate orthotic solutions.
- Design, fit, and modify custom orthotics and footwear tailored to individual patient needs.
- Educate patients on proper use, care, and maintenance of orthotic devices to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Collaborate with physicians, podiatrists, and other healthcare professionals to develop effective treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate patient records, documentation, and treatment plans in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Stay current with advancements in orthotic technology and best practices through ongoing professional development.
- Ensure all devices meet safety standards and are fabricated according to prescribed specifications.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to foot health and orthopedics.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and healthcare team members.
- Attention to detail for precise measurements, fitting, and modifications of orthotic devices.
- Ability to interpret medical prescriptions and collaborate on treatment strategies.

This position is integral to providing high-quality foot care solutions that enhance mobility and quality of life for our patients. We are an existing clinic under new management at a Christine location in Ajax Ontario.
Pay: Up to $120,000.00 per year
