Position Description
The Medical Reporting Curator is a key member of the Medical Affairs team responsible for maintaining and continuously improving Geneseeq's clinical reporting knowledge base. This role applies scientific and clinical expertise to curate oncology-related evidence, develop high-quality report content, and support the generation of accurate, clinically meaningful genomic reports.
The successful candidate will collaborate closely with Medical Affairs, Bioinformatics, Software Development, Product Management, and Laboratory teams to ensure our reporting database remains scientifically current, operationally efficient, and compliant with applicable quality and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities include:
- Curate, maintain, and update Geneseeq's clinical oncology knowledge base and reporting database.
- Review scientific literature, clinical guidelines, and public databases to support the development and maintenance of report content.
- Prepare, organize, and revise report content to ensure clarity, consistency, and scientific accuracy for healthcare providers.
- Collaborate with Medical Affairs and cross-functional teams to review and improve reporting content and database quality.
- Support the development, revision, and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and related documentation.
- Assist with routine database updates, quality checks, and verification of reporting content.
- Support day-to-day reporting operations and help ensure timely completion of reporting-related tasks.
- Work with Bioinformatics and Software Development teams to support improvements to report generation tools and reporting workflows.
- Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with company quality management procedures.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reporting efficiency and data quality.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required
- Master's degree in Molecular Biology, Genetics, Genomics, Biochemistry, Biomedical Sciences, or a related life sciences discipline.
- Strong knowledge of molecular oncology, cancer genomics, genetics, and precision medicine.
- Ability to critically evaluate scientific literature and translate complex information into clear, concise clinical reporting language.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Strong analytical thinking and scientific problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to scientific accuracy.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
- Understanding of patient privacy and confidentiality requirements, including HIPAA, PHIPA, or equivalent healthcare privacy regulations.
Preferred
- Experience in clinical NGS, molecular diagnostics, or genomic reporting.
- Familiarity with AMP, ACMG, CAP, NCCN, ESMO, ASCO, or other oncology reporting guidelines.
- Knowledge of hematologic malignancies and molecular pathology.
- Experience with genomic annotation databases (e.g., ClinVar, COSMIC, OncoKB, CIViC, ClinGen).
- Familiarity with clinical laboratory quality systems (CAP, CLIA, ISO 15189, ISO 13485) is an asset.
- Experience working with knowledge management systems or report generation software.

Pay: $60,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
