Job Description

We are currently seeking a compassionate and reliable Personal Support Worker (PSW) to join our care team at a retirement home in Hamilton. The successful candidate will provide personal care and daily assistance to residents in a respectful, safe, and professional manner, helping to support their comfort, dignity, and quality of life.

Responsibilities

- Assist residents with personal care, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and mobility
- Provide assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Observe, report, and document changes in residents’ condition to the supervisor
- Ensure residents’ safety and comfort at all times
- Assist with light housekeeping duties within the facility
- Perform laundry duties for residents, including washing, drying, and folding
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary environment
- Follow all care plans, policies,



and health & safety procedures
- Communicate respectfully with residents, families, and staff

Requirements

- Valid Personal Support Worker (PSW) Certificate
- First Aid & CPR Certification
- Vulnerable Sector Police Check (current or willing to obtain)
- ORCA Training (current or willing to complete)
- Previous experience in a retirement home or long-term care setting is an asset
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Reliable, compassionate, and professional attitude

Pay: $19.60-$19.65 per hour
