SVS Mechanical is seeking a motivated and reliable On-Highway Truck & Trailer Technician. We are open to both Journeyman Technicians and Apprentices who are eager to develop their skills in a fast-paced, professional shop environment.

This position involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy-duty trucks and trailers to ensure safe and efficient operation.

Key Responsibilities

- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on trucks and trailers
- Perform repairs on engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and electrical systems
- Complete preventative maintenance and inspections
- Accurately document work performed and parts used
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Follow company procedures and safety standards
- Communicate effectively with service advisors and team members

Qualifications

Journeyman Technician:

- Certified Heavy Equipment Technician / Truck & Transport Mechanic (Journeyman)
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Experience with a wide range of truck and trailer systems
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- CVIP License

Apprentice Technician:

- Registered apprentice (any level considered)




- Basic mechanical knowledge and willingness to learn
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Ability to follow direction and develop skills

Required Skills & Abilities

- Strong problem-solving and mechanical aptitude
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Ability to lift heavy components when required
- Valid driver’s license (Class 1 or 3 considered an asset)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45.00-$50.00 per hour
