Job description:

As a Delivery Driver/Warehouse Support at North Sea Fish & Farms, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and efficiency of our seafood operations. In addition to servicing the Calgary area, we also service the Edmonton area twice per week (Tuesdays and Thursdays). Knowledge of both the Calgary and Edmonton areas is an asset. We are a Monday to Friday operation, with shifts each week ranging from 6-12 hours, the longer days being the days on which we service Edmonton.

In the warehouse:

- Ability to load frozen food products onto vehicles in an organized and secure manner for all deliveries
- Assist in accurate ordering picking as required in the warehouse
- Ensure that all orders – delivered and received – are checked for damages and piece count accuracy according to paperwork provided. Identify damaged, lost, or missing product and notify the supervisor immediately
- Must be physically fit, as certain areas require repetitive lifting of items up to 50lbs

On the road:

- Ability to maintain and safely operate small to medium-sized delivery vehicles (5-ton truck or cargo van, vehicle is dependent on daily route and can change at any time),



perform light vehicle maintenance duties (checking oil, topping up fluids, etc.), as well as the ability to fill out documentation regarding vehicle status/route on daily basis
- Ability to provide courteous and professional customer service to customers during delivery process with effective communication skills
- Ability to ensure vehicles are unloaded, cleaned, and fueled at the end of each route.

Experience:

- Valid Class 5 driver’s license
- Clean drivers abstract (no more than 30 days old; clear of convictions, suspensions, demerits, and speeding tickets)
- Minimum of 3 years’ worth of clean insurance history (no accidents, suspensions, etc.)
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience driving cargo van and 5-ton truck with clean driving history
