Koala Kidz Daycare, a licensed and CWELCC-approved childcare centre in Vaughan, is looking for an experienced and passionate Childcare Supervisor (RECE) to lead our team.

This is a leadership role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced childcare environment, understands Ontario licensing requirements, and is committed to delivering high-quality early learning and care.

What You’ll DoLeadership & Team Management

- Lead, mentor, and supervise RECEs and support staff
- Manage staff schedules, onboarding, and performance reviews
- Build a positive, accountable, and collaborative team culture

Program & Curriculum Oversight

- Ensure programs align with Ontario Childcare guidelines?
- Guide educators in planning, documentation, and child development tracking
- Support inclusive practices for children with diverse needs
- Documentation and familiarity with OCCMS and CCLS like tools

Compliance & Licensing

- Ensure compliance with CCEYA, Ministry of Education licensing, and CWELCC guidelines
- Maintain staff-child ratios, documentation, and audit readiness
- Manage serious occurrence reporting and inspections

Operations & Safety

- Oversee daily centre operations and routines
- Maintain a safe, clean, and secure environment
- Ensure health, safety, and emergency procedures are followed

Parent Engagement





- Build strong relationships with families
- Handle parent concerns professionally and proactively
- Support enrolment growth and retention

Requirements

- RECE (Registered Early Childhood Educator) – in good standing
- Minimum 5+ years experience in a licensed childcare setting
- Previous supervisory/leadership experience (preferred)
- Strong knowledge of CCEYA, Ministry licensing, and CWELCC
- Valid Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC)
- Current CPR & First Aid Certification (Level C)
- Up-to-date immunization records
- Excellent communication and leadership skills

Preferred Candidate

- Lives in or near Vaughan (reliable commute required)
- Experience in CWELCC-funded centres
- Strong operational and compliance mindset
- Experience managing diverse needs and behaviours
