Job Description:

MPI is looking for Labourer/ PumpJack Tech (including Apprentice Millwright or Industrial Mechanic) to join our growing team! This is a great opportunity for local candidates who are considering a career in the Oil and Gas Industry.

Skills You Bring:

· Strong mechanical aptitude.

· Capable of working safely at heights up 40 feet.

· Positive communication skills and able to work as part of a team.

· Willingness to learn, take direction and work in a safe manner.

· Physically fit and able to perform a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labour:

o Light Work – Speed up, slow down (sheave change), seals, disconnects, rod clamps, respace pumps, horse head alignments, brake adjustment/repair and belt replacements. Visual inspections, detailed inspections and greasing.

o Medium Work – Bridle replacements, Horse head install/removal, stroke changes, electric motors, motor bases, base alignments and oil changes.





o Heavy Work – Replace sampson posts, walking beams, equalizers, saddle/tail bearings, T-base, wrist pins, gearbox, crank arms and weights all the way to complete pumpjack swaps.

o Ability to lift 50lbs on a regular basis.

· Excellent opportunity for Apprentice Millwright/Industrial Mechanic’s.

· Veteran’s incentives contractors welcome.

Requirements:

· Own transportation to travel to the Shop (transport provided to/from site and some in town pick up options)

· Construction Safety Orientation (CSO)

· H2S Alive

· Fall Protection

· First Aid

· Gas Testing

· Drivers Abstract

· Clean Drug and Alcohol test

· Class 5 (No GDL); Air Brakes considered and Asset.
