Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Equipment Operator/Labourer to join our construction team. This role involves operating various heavy machinery and supporting construction projects across diverse sites. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in heavy equipment operation, mechanical knowledge, and construction experience. This position offers an opportunity to work with a skilled team on challenging projects, utilizing a range of machinery including dozers, loaders, excavators, graders, backhoes, and paving equipment. Applicants should be safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and capable of working in dynamic environments.

Duties

- Operate heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, excavators, graders, backhoes, and paving machinery with precision and safety.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Assist with site preparation, grading, excavation, paving, and other construction activities.
- Support the movement of materials and debris around construction sites using appropriate machinery.
- Follow all safety protocols to identify and mitigate potential hazards on-site.




- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and maintenance activities.
- Support additional labour tasks as needed to meet project deadlines.

Experience

- Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment such as dozers, excavators, loaders, graders, backhoes, and paving machinery.
- Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Experience with horizontal drilling and other specialized construction techniques is a plus.
- Commercial driving experience with a valid license is preferred.
- Construction background with familiarity in site preparation, grading, paving, or related fields.
- Knowledge of Caterpillar equipment or similar brands is advantageous.
- Prior experience working on large-scale construction projects or infrastructure development is highly desirable.

This role requires physical stamina, attention to safety standards, and the ability to work effectively within a team environment on demanding projects.

Pay: $27.00-$32.00 per hour
