Job Summary
We are seeking skilled Heavy Duty Mechanics to join our team! As a Mechanic with TMMP, you will be responsible for repairing and maintaining various types of construction/mining equipment. This is a hands-on role that requires strong technical knowledge and problem-solving skills.

This is a 7×7 schedule rotation, day-shifts only.

Advertised wages are base rates, overtime is paid after 8 hours.

Duties

- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on TMMP’s heavy equipment fleet (excavators, dozers, graders, rock trucks, etc.)
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues
- Repair or replace faulty components using hand tools, power tools, rigging equipment, and welding equipment
- Assemble and disassemble machinery as needed
- Work safely within heavy construction and mining environments, travelling from TMMP’s shop to various work sites.
- Keep accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed
- Address general mechanical concerns and answer questions
- Be a mentor for our Heavy Duty Equipment Tech(s)

Skills

- Strong mechanical aptitude with a ticket, apprenticeship, or equivalent experience in Heavy Duty Mechanics
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing various types of machinery




- Knowledge of machinery electrical systems and ability to perform electrical repairs
- Ability to use power tools, rigging equipment, welding equipment, and other tools necessary for the job
- Excellent problem-solving skills to identify issues and find effective solutions
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment and be a self-starter

Experience

- Journeyman/Red Seal ticket
- Experience working on a wide variety of machinery considered an asset
- CAT SIS experience (or equiv.) considered an asset
- Civil construction, open pit mining, or forestry experience considered an asset
- Class 5 Drivers license
- Fit for duty and able to perform manual labour

Pay: $45.00-$55.00 per hour
