Morning Shift Counterbalance Forklift Operator – Heavy Lifting

Compensation & Benefits

- Hourly Pay: $20.00 per hour.
- Overtime: Paid after 44 hours/week (e.g., $30.00/hour).
- Vacation Pay: 4% paid out weekly.
- Schedule: 7:30 am to 5:00 pm
- Location: Mississauga, ON L5L 5X8

About the Role

We are currently seeking a Receiver / Forklift Operator (Counterbalance) to join our team in North York for our well known Tile company. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in warehouse operations, including receiving, organizing, and moving materials using a Counterbalance forklift. This position involves both indoor and outdoor work and requires physical strength and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

- Receive, unload, and organize incoming materials.
- Pick materials for both transfers and sales orders using picking guns.
- Locate materials for orders and transfers accurately.
- Load trucks with prepared orders and transfers lift up to 70 lbs.
- Move and stage materials for sales and transfers.
- Ensure all orders are securely prepared to prevent damage during transit.
- Put away received bundles into designated warehouse locations.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse and yard area (some outdoor work required).
- Follow all safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications

Experience:





- Minimum of 6 months to 1 year of experience as a Receiver and Forklift Operator in a warehouse environment.

Skills & Requirements:

- Valid Counterbalance forklift license in Ontario.
- Strong physical condition (ability to lift up to 35 kg / 80 lbs).
- Ability to stand, walk, and handle materials for extended periods.
- Experience operating pallet jacks, trolleys, and carts.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically demanding setting.

Certifications & Requirements

- Health and Safety Certificate: Worker Health and Safety Awareness in 4 Steps.
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Safety footwear required.
