Commercial Construction Project Coordinator
Location: Edmonton
Job Type: Full-Time | Permanent
Seeking a motivated Project Coordinator to join our growing team and support projects from pre-construction through closeout.
If you're organized, detail-oriented, and looking to grow your career alongside experienced Project Managers, this is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience while working on exciting commercial projects across Alberta.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Support Project Managers and site teams throughout all phases of construction.
- Coordinate project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, contracts, change orders, and project correspondence.
- Maintain project files, document control systems, logs, and tracking reports.
- Assist with procurement, purchasing, subcontract administration, and supplier coordination.
- Support estimating activities, quantity take-offs, budgets, and change order preparation.
- Review construction drawings and specifications to assist with project planning and execution.
- Help update project schedules and coordinate permits, inspections, and utility requirements.
- Assist with progress claims, invoicing, forecasting, and project cost tracking.
- Attend project meetings, prepare meeting minutes, and follow up on action items.
- Coordinate project closeout documentation, including O&M; manuals, warranties, and as-built drawings.
- Build strong working relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Construction Engineering Technology (CET), Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in commercial construction, project coordination, estimating, site administration, or a related role is considered an asset.
- Understanding of construction documents, contracts, and project administration.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
Technical Skills
Experience with the following is considered an asset:
- Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Procore
- Bluebeam
- Viewpoint Vista
- Microsoft Project

Working Conditions
- Office and construction site environment.
- Travel to project sites throughout Alberta as required.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Occasional overtime may be necessary to meet project deadlines.
- PPE required during site visits.
Certifications
The following certifications are preferred or can be obtained upon hire:
- CSTS 2020
- WHMIS
- Standard First Aid (asset)

Pay: $85,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
