Position Overview:

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a mature, reliable, multi-tasker to add to our Bessborough Location.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform all duties to maintain a clean landfill. This includes working in the elements in all weather conditions.
- Perform site litter collection and minor custodial tasks.
- Assists in daily clean-up and maintenance of the landfill site.
- Perform minor load screening and working in the disposal area, talking to disposers to provide information on site rules and restrictions.
- Assist with other projects as required.
- Maintains and cleans bin and recycling area.
- Performs ongoing site maintenance and general duties.
- Operates light service vehicles.

Qualifications:

- Customer Service Experience
- Previous experience working in a Landfill environment is considered an asset
- Physically able to perform required duties (lifting, bending, reaching, standing, etc.)
- Excellent communication (verbal and written), interpersonal and customer service skills are required.
- Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions of a non-technical nature.
- Ability to work in a busy environment, work under stress and maintain an excellent, friendly working relationship with all users of the landfill.




- Valid BC Driver's Licence, job site is 19kms from Dawson Creek.
