Welder / Fabricator

Delta, BC | Full-Time | Day Shift | $35-$40/hr

Aerotek is hiring a Welder/Fabricator for a well-established manufacturing client in Delta, BC. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled tradesperson who takes pride in producing high-quality work and enjoys seeing projects through from fabrication to final assembly.

What You'll Do

- Perform welding and fabrication on structural steel and custom projects using GMAW (MIG) processes.
- Layout, fit-up, assemble, and weld components according to shop drawings and specifications.
- Read and interpret fabrication drawings, welding procedures, and project requirements.
- Ensure all work meets quality standards, fabrication tolerances, and project specifications.
- Troubleshoot fabrication and welding challenges and contribute practical solutions.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve production targets and maintain workflow efficiency.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in accordance with 5S standards.
- Actively support workplace safety initiatives and demonstrate safe work practices at all times.
- Contribute ideas for continuous improvement in quality, productivity, and workflow.

Required Qualifications

Must-Have Skills & Experience

- Minimum 5 years of hands-on welding and fabrication experience.
- Strong proficiency with GMAW (MIG) welding.
- Current CWB Certification or ability to successfully pass certification testing in all positions.
- Ability to read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, and welding procedures.
- Thorough understanding of fabrication tolerances and quality requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality workmanship.
- Reliable, accountable, and team-oriented approach to work.
- Strong work ethic with pride in craftsmanship and finished product quality.

Preferred Qualifications

- Current CWB All-Position Certification (GMAW/MIG).
- Red Seal Welder certification.
- Experience mentoring, coaching, or supporting junior welders and fabricators.
- Previous experience leading projects or assisting with shop floor coordination.
- Multi-process welding experience considered an asset.
