Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Formwork Labourer to join our construction team. This role involves assisting in the installation and removal of formwork for concrete structures, supporting various phases of construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a solid work ethic, experience in construction-related tasks, and the ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Prior knowledge of heavy equipment operation, carpentry, and blueprint reading is highly desirable to ensure successful project completion.

Duties

- Assist in the setup, alignment, and dismantling of formwork systems for concrete pouring.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and basic heavy equipment as required for formwork installation.
- Support rebar installation, ensuring proper placement according to schematics and blueprints.
- Perform masonry tasks related to concrete forming and restoration projects.
- Handle heavy lifting and material movement safely across job sites.
- Follow safety protocols including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Assist with concrete finishing tasks when necessary, ensuring smooth surfaces and adherence to project specifications.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately execute tasks.




- Support renovation and flooring installation activities as needed.
- Maintain a clean work environment and ensure tools and equipment are properly cared for.

Skills

- Mechanical knowledge related to construction tools and heavy equipment operation.
- Experience with rebar installation, masonry, concrete forming, and finishing techniques.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and scaffolding setup.
- Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings accurately.
- Strong understanding of blueprint reading and construction schematics.
- Knowledge of welding, caulking, flooring installation, and restoration processes is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining good physical condition.
- Construction experience with a focus on concrete forming or renovation projects preferred.
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to follow detailed instructions precisely.
