Lancaster Heating and Cooling is looking for an experienced and licensed 313A Journeyperson Commercial HVAC Service Technician to join our growing team.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and licensed 313A Journeyperson Commercial HVAC Service Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, servicing, maintaining, and repairing commercial HVAC systems. The ideal candidate has solid troubleshooting skills, is comfortable working independently, and is committed to completing work safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable codes and standards.

Responsibilities

- Diagnose, service, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC systems
- Work on equipment including rooftop units, boilers, make-up air units, VRF/VRV systems, air handling units, control systems, gas-fired equipment, and related HVAC components
- Perform preventative maintenance and emergency service calls
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control system issues
- Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
- Communicate professionally with clients, project managers, forepersons, and team members
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations, building codes, and company standards
- Complete service reports, work orders,



and required documentation accurately and on time
- Use laptops and mobile devices to complete documentation, communicate with the team, and attend meetings
- Maintain company-issued tools, equipment, and vehicle in proper working condition
- Provide guidance and support to apprentices and junior team members as required
- Participate in the on-call rotation as required

Qualifications

- 313A Journeyperson License required
- Minimum of 5 years of commercial HVAC service experience
- Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, service practices, diagnostics, and repair procedures
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control-related issues
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical documents
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Strong work ethic and ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various environmental conditions
- Willingness to work occasional overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts as required

Preferred Qualifications

- G2 Gas Fitter License required; G1 considered an asset
- ODP Certification
- UA Local 787 member
