GoodHome Painting Co. is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Full Charge Accountant to join our team, managing the accounting for a medium sized corporation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling the company's financial records, including payroll, accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting.
Duties
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- General Ledger Management: Handle all general ledger accounting processes, including bank transactions, and monthly journal entries and reconciliations.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Handle invoicing, payments, and collections to ensure timely and accurate processing.
- Payroll Management: Set up and process bi-weekly payroll for employees. Collect & process employee reimbursements. GST & Payroll Tax Filing.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop and maintain budgets and financial forecasts, providing insights and recommendations for financial planning.
- Year End Account Preparation: Coordinate and prepare for year end filing, ensuring all financial records are accurate and up-to-date.
- Expense Management: Booking and monitoring company expenses and cash flow
- Admin Support: On board current employees for payroll, add project details to our CRM,
Draft invoices and populate Budget Target Sheets for Lead Craftsmen
Qualifications
- Formal accounting training, eg Degree/Diploma in Accountancy
- Minimum 3 years work experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper or similar role
- Proficiency in Quickbooks Online and MS Excel required
- Fundamental knowledge of Canadian Payroll System
- Strong problem solving skills
- Excellent English communication, both written and oral
- Experience in construction or related industry is preferred
Option to work remotely part time (1-2 days/week at home) will be available after 6 months of employment.
