Main Responsibilities
- Assess various types of non-occupational claims for benefits eligibility
- Evaluate medical documentation, review contractual provisions, pursue additional information, when required
- Decision-making within service standards
- Document all claims file notes and follow up information
- Ensure that all claim files and company information are kept confidential
- Establish and clearly articulate action plans /interventions for appropriate /timely outcomes throughout the life of a claim
- Partner with internal or external resources to move the file forward to resolution

Qualifications
- High proficiency with MS Office products (Word, Excel, etc.)
- Strong ability to understand and apply policies and procedures
- Excellent organizational skills with ability to work independently
- Solid analytical and decision-making skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining quality standards
- A minimum of two years of experience in a client relationship role
- Strong communication skills, verbal and written
- A general understanding health related terminology and health care /insurance fields
- A general understanding of accommodation concepts /return to work strategies
- Background in Health Science studies or a college diploma in a related field (an asset but not required)
- Knowledge of French (an asset but not required)
