Job Description

Palcam Technologies is looking for a reliable and hardworking Facility Maintenance Assistant to support the daily upkeep and organization of our manufacturing facility. This is an entry-level, hands-on position ideal for someone who enjoys working in an active environment and wants to develop their skills in facility maintenance and manufacturing support.

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will assist with general facility cleaning, basic machine upkeep, material handling, and maintaining a safe and organized workplace. Training will be provided for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform general cleaning duties throughout the facility, including shop floor, offices, and common areas
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and help maintain a clean and organized workplace
- Empty garbage and recycling bins and restock supplies as needed
- Clean up spills and maintain safe working areas

Basic Machine Support

- Assist with cleaning and maintaining machinery, including removing dust, debris, and metal shavings
- Help monitor and refill machine coolant levels when required (training provided)
- Perform basic upkeep tasks such as lubrication and visual equipment checks
- Report any maintenance concerns or equipment issues to the Maintenance Manager

Material Handling & Organization

- Assist with moving materials, supplies, and equipment around the facility
- Help with loading and unloading deliveries
- Organize storage areas and maintain inventory of supplies
- Keep work areas clean, safe, and organized

General Support Tasks





- Assist with seasonal tasks such as snow removal and salting walkways
- Support facility setup for company events or general improvements
- Assist with basic outdoor maintenance when required

Health & Safety Responsibilities

- Follow all company safety procedures and wear required PPE
- Maintain a clean and protected working environment
- Report hazards, spills, or equipment concerns promptly
- Follow proper procedures when handling cleaning products and materials

Qualifications

- Previous experience in cleaning, maintenance, warehouse, or manufacturing environments is an asset but not required
- Willingness to learn and take direction
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good attention to detail and organizational skills
- Comfortable performing physical tasks, including lifting, bending, standing, and walking for extended periods
- Basic English communication skills required

- Overtime may be available with management approval
