Position Summary

Ingersoll Products Inc. is seeking a reliable and highly capable Multi Skilled Technician (MST) (Setup Injection Molding Process Technician) to support our manufacturing operations witch include, injection molding, assembly, packaging.

This is a hands-on technical role responsible for keeping our molding presses, auxiliary equipment, and production work cells running safely, efficiently, and consistently. The MST supports the organization across a variety of areas including mold set-up, processing support, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting of plant equipment, and quality support.

The successful candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, a practical troubleshooting mindset, and a commitment to safe work practices, organization, and continuous improvement.

Core Responsibilities

The MST role supports the business across multiple areas. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Injection Molding, Tooling, and Processing Support

- Perform mold changes and set-ups on injection molding presses (up to 500 ton)
- Safely install molds weighing up to 10,000 lbs using proper lifting devices and procedures
- Start up and stabilize molding processes to meet cycle-time, scrap, and quality targets
- Troubleshoot molding defects and processing issues (short shots, flash, sinks, burns, warpage, etc.)
- Support the protected operation and adjustment of sprue pickers, robots, and other automation
- Maintain accurate process and mold documentation (set-up sheets, mold receipts, process records)

Plant Maintenance & Equipment Support

- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production equipment to minimize downtime
- Perform preventative maintenance (PMs) on molding and supporting equipment
- Support basic electrical troubleshooting (sensors, switches, relays, safety circuits, etc.)




- Support pneumatic and hydraulic systems used throughout the facility
- Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and reliability improvements
- Work with outside contractors when required and support protected lockout/tagout practices

Supporting Production Equipment and Work Cells

- Support troubleshooting and performance of equipment used throughout operations, including:
- Conveyors, hoppers, loaders, dryers, and material handling systems
- Granulators, regrind systems, and blending equipment
- Chillers, pump systems, water lines, and cooling systems
- Labeling, bagging, printing, and packaging equipment
- Light assembly fixtures and work cells
- Automation and pneumatic devices used in secondary operations

Quality Ownership & Standards

- Ensure parts meet quality requirements before releasing production
- Respond quickly to quality concerns and support containment actions as needed
- Support quality checks, documentation, and process verification
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working area (5S mindset)
- Follow SOPs, safety requirements, and housekeeping standards

Continuous Improvement

- Participate in improvement initiatives focused on:
- Reducing scrap and downtime
- Improving cycle time and process stability
- Improving mold-change efficiency and standardization
- Strengthening preventative maintenance systems
- Improving equipment reliability and repeatability




- Contribute practical ideas and support improvements that strengthen customer satisfaction and plant performance

Qualifications & Skills

- 3+ years experience in a manufacturing technician role (molding, maintenance, or industrial equipment support)
- Strong understanding of injection molding set-up and/or processing
- Experience working with presses up to 400–500 ton (or equivalent industrial equipment)
- Mechanical aptitude with strong troubleshooting ability
- Understanding of auxiliary molding equipment (dryers, loaders, chillers, granulators, etc.)
- Basic electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting experience is a strong asset
- Comfortable working with computers (email, Excel, Word) and ERP systems
- Ability to read, understand, and apply written instructions and SOPs
- Strong communication skills and team-first attitude
- Reliable attendance and punctuality are mandatory

Assets (Nice to Have):

- Robotics experience
- Welding or fabrication experience
- Machining experience
- PLC or automation troubleshooting experience
- Forklift or overhead crane experience

Physical Requirements

- Must be physically capable of climbing onto and around machines
- Must be able to work in tight spaces (under machines, behind presses, etc.)
- Must be able to safely handle tooling and equipment with proper lifting devices
- Must be able to work on tasks that may involve standing, bending, lifting, and reaching

Pay: $50,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
