Role: Data Migration Engineer
Rate: Up to $130,000 per year
Location: Remote, Canada based

Must-Have Skills

- 3–5+ years of experience in Data Engineering, ETL Development, Data Migration, or Data Integration
- Strong understanding of end-to-end ETL methodologies (Extract Transform Load)
- Advanced SQL skills for querying, profiling, validating, and troubleshooting datasets
- Experience working with APIs, relational databases, flat files, and large datasets

Strong understanding of:

- Data mapping
- Data transformation
- Data validation
- Data reconciliation
- Data cleansing
- Schema mapping
- Comfortable debugging unfamiliar source systems and identifying data quality issues
- Experience building repeatable, reusable migration processes rather than one-off scripts
- Comfortable working independently in fast-paced startup environments

Ideal Skills Required:





- Python
- JavaScript / TypeScript (Node.js)
- JSON
- Version control (Git)
- Automation-first mindset
- Experience building reusable ETL pipelines
- Familiarity with telecom, OSS/BSS, CRM, or billing data models
- Experience supporting production cutovers, delta loads, rollback strategies, and reconciliation
- Comfortable leveraging AI tools to accelerate data exploration and validation
