Howitt Construction is a busy earthmoving company, based out of Red Deer, who specialize in road re-construction projects, current landfill and lagoon cells, and site preparation for residential/industrial and commercial developments.

We're looking for experienced 627F scraper operators for a road construction project near Sylvan Lake AB. Project start is approx July 20th.

Site Specific Details

- Strip sods/topsoil,
- Haul common and place to grade,
- Stockpile management.

Work Details

- 7am - 6pm,
- Long weekends off,
- Must have valid WHMIS ticket.

Scope of Work

- Complete walk arounds,
- Safely operate scraper,
- Identify soil types and strip topsoil cleanly,
- Efficiently load and unload material,
- Push/pull experience,
- Fuel & grease machine,
- Identify basic machine issues & contact site supervisor, no mechanical work needed (ie. locate blown hose, understand warning lights and gauges)

PPE Requirements

- High visibility vest,
- Hard hat,
- Steel toed boots,
- Gloves.

Job Type: Seasonal

Pay: $34.00-$37.00 per hour
