About Us

The Great Indian Delicacy is a fast-growing South Indian restaurant in Edmonton, dedicated to serving authentic flavors with exceptional quality and customer service. We are looking for a passionate and experienced Chef who takes pride in preparing authentic Indian cuisine and maintaining high kitchen standards.

Responsibilities

- Prepare authentic South Indian and Indian dishes with consistency and quality.
- Maintain food quality, presentation, and portion standards.
- Ensure food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards are followed.
- Manage food preparation during busy service hours.
- Monitor inventory and minimize food waste.
- Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen.
- Assist with menu improvements and seasonal specials when required.

Requirements

- Experience as a Chef or Cook in an Indian restaurant preferred.




- Strong knowledge of South Indian cuisine is a major asset.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Passion for cooking and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently when needed.
- Food Safe Certification is an asset.
