The Oakville Club is seeking a talented and passionate First Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist in managing kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and safety. Responsibilities

- Assist the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations.
- Prepare and cook high-quality meals in accordance with established recipes and standards.
- Ensure proper food handling and sanitation practices are followed at all times.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
- Help train and mentor junior kitchen staff in food preparation techniques.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop current menu items and improve existing dishes.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including all cooking equipment.




- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and standards.

Skills

- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary skills.
- Experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with food handling practices and safety regulations.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
