Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dependable Long Haul Driver to join our logistics team. This role involves operating commercial vehicles over long distances to ensure timely delivery of freight across various locations. The ideal candidate will possess solid driving skills, knowledge of heavy equipment operation, and a commitment to safety and efficiency. A background in automotive repair and forklift operation is a plus, enabling versatile handling of freight and equipment during transit and at delivery points.

Duties

- Safely operate large commercial trucks over long-distance routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Transport freight efficiently from origin to destination, ensuring timely deliveries
- Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment as needed, maintaining proper safety procedures
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to identify maintenance needs or safety concerns
- Assist with freight handling, including securing loads and verifying shipment accuracy




- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting when necessary to maintain vehicle operational readiness
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery documentation, and vehicle maintenance records
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and clients regarding delivery schedules and issues

Experience

- Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly long-haul routes
- Familiarity with forklift operation and heavy equipment handling preferred
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety standards in transportation environments
- Basic automotive repair skills are advantageous for troubleshooting vehicle issues on the road
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts is a plus
- Ability to operate trucks equipped with various types of freight handling gear safely and efficiently

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $7,000.00-$8,000.00 per month
