The Accounting Clerk is responsible for supporting the full cycle of financial operations, including receivables, payables, purchasing, assets, related financial activities, and reporting. This role ensures the integrity, accuracy, reliability, and timeliness of financial information while supporting Bruce Telecom’s operational and financial objectives. The position operates within a collaborative team environment and requires adaptability to support evolving business needs while maintaining a high level of customer service and confidentiality.

Reports to: Finance Manager

Responsibilities:

· Ensure the accurate and timely processing of financial transactions across receivables, payables, assets, and purchasing functions

· Maintain and reconcile financial records, accounts, and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness

· Communicate with customers, vendors, financial institutions, and internal departments to resolve issues and support business operations

· Monitor financial activities and identify discrepancies, risks, or process improvement opportunities





· Lead end-to-end procurement and inventory activities, including coordination, vendor engagement, and alignment with operational and business requirements

· Contribute to month-end and year-end processes, including reconciliations, preparation of financial statements, reporting (internal, external, and regulatory), and audit support

· Participate in projects, inventory counts, and cross-functional initiatives as required

· Provide support across Finance team functions to ensure continuity of operations

· Provide guidance and training to team and organization members

· Perform other duties as assigned to support business needs

Educational Requirements:

· Post-secondary diploma in Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field

Required Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

· Strong accounting and reconciliation skills with attention to accuracy and detail

· Previous experience with procurement and customs regulations

· Proven ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines

· Excellent communication and customer service skills with the ability to handle sensitive financial situations professionally

· Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team

· Strong decision-making, analytical, and problem-solving abilities





· Ability to maintain confidentiality with financial and customer information

· Proficient in Microsoft Office application and financial software systems

Working Conditions:

· Office-based work environment

· Frequent use of computers, financial systems, and related technology

· Regular communication with customers, vendors, financial institutions, and internal departments by phone and email

Physical Demands:

· Prolonged periods of sitting at a workstation

· Regular use of a computer, keyboard, and mouse

· Frequent use of the telephone and other office equipment

Mental Demands:

· Ability to handle multiple priorities with accuracy and attention to detail

· Capacity to work under time-sensitive deadlines and occasional high-volume periods

· Professionalism and discretion when managing confidential financial information

Hours of Work:

40 hours per week

Pay: $24.93-$31.38 per hour
