Field Operations Manager
Cynergy Mechanical is a leading mechanical services and solutions provider based in
Etobicoke, Ontario, proudly serving clients since 1994. The company specializes in HVAC,
refrigeration, plumbing, and integrated mechanical systems across industrial,
commercial, institutional, and multi-residential sectors.
With a strong focus on service excellence, Cynergy Mechanical delivers installation,
maintenance, emergency response, and ongoing mechanical support solutions designed
to optimize building performance, improve energy e:ciency, and protect long-term asset
value throughout the GTA and Southwestern Ontario.
As Field Operations Manager, you will oversee daily
the right people, with the right skills, are in the right place at the right time. Reporting
directly to the CEO, you will act as the bridge between project management, service
operations, and the ectively scheduled, productivity high,
and sta:ng aligned with current and upcoming work.
This is a hands-on leadership role with a strategic edge. You will balance labour across
service calls, maintenance contracts, and construction projects without relying on
reactive hiring and layo>s, proactively forecasting workload, spotting capacity gaps, and
building sta:ng plans that support steady growth and a stable, engaged workforce.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Field Operations Leadership
- Supervise HVAC and plumbing
project work.
- Provide daily direction, coaching, and support to technicians, apprentices, and
sta>.
- Monitor quality, productivity, safety,
and customer service through regular
visits and job-site inspections.
- Address performance concerns and support ongoing development.
Dispatch, Scheduling & Resource Deployment
- Oversee dispatch and technician scheduling, assigning the right skills to the right
jobs at the right time.

- Maintain a clear picture of each technician’s capabilities and certi
people to the work they’re suited for.
- Coordinate sta:ng priorities across emergency service, maintenance, and
construction, minimizing downtime and idle time.
Workforce Planning & Capacity Management
- Forecast labour needs from secured work, project pipelines, seasonal demand, and
maintenance contracts.
- Build workforce plans that maximize use of existing sta> while minimizing overtime
and unnecessary recruitment.
- Analyze workload and capacity to Cag shortages or surpluses early, and balance
resources across departments and projects.
- Coordinate cross-training and skill development to keep the workforce Cexible, and
support long-term and succession planning with the CEO.
Licensing, Compliance & Field Readiness
- Track trade licences, tickets, and certi current and
compliant.
- Oversee
Project & Service Coordination
- Work with Project Managers and Service Managers to anticipate resource needs and
join planning and forecasting discussions.
- Monitor project progress and adjust labour to support deadlines and customer
commitments.
Performance & Safety
- Track labour productivity, utilization, and overtime, and
improve e:ciency and pro
- Support annual workforce budgeting and labour forecasting, and report to the CEO
on capacity, labour cost, and sta:ng recommendations.
- Champion a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with company policies and
industry standards.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of leadership experience in commercial HVAC, plumbing, mechanical
contracting, or construction operations, ICI industry experience required.
- Experience supervising

- Demonstrated experience with workforce planning, labour forecasting, scheduling,
or dispatch.
- Strong understanding of commercial mechanical operations and project workCows.
- Pro
management software.
