Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated French Tutor to help students develop their language skills in a supportive and engaging environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in teaching French and possess excellent communication skills. This role offers an opportunity to work with diverse learners, including children and adults, and to foster a love for language learning. The position emphasizes classroom experience, tutoring expertise, and the ability to adapt lessons to individual student needs.

Responsibilities

- Deliver engaging and effective French language lessons tailored to students’ proficiency levels
- Develop customized lesson plans that incorporate speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills
- Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback
- Create a positive learning environment that encourages student participation and confidence
- Incorporate cultural elements into lessons to enhance language acquisition
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance and progress
- Collaborate with parents or guardians for student updates (if applicable)




- Utilize various teaching tools and resources, including multimedia, to enrich lessons

Experience

- Proven experience of 3-4 years working with children and/or adult learners in a classroom or tutoring setting
- Fluency in French is required; additional language skills such as Mandarin, Spanish, Japanese, or English are preferred but not mandatory
- Solid writing skills for creating lesson plans and instructional materials
- Prior tutoring or teaching experience, especially in classroom environments, is highly desirable
- Familiarity with different learning styles and the ability to adapt teaching methods accordingly
- Passion for language education and cultural exchange

Pay: $23.00-$26.00 per hour
