About the Role:

We are looking for a caring and patient caregiver to assist our 25-year-old autistic daughter, who is non-verbal but understands basic limited instructions and routines. She is a bright and loving individual who likes to engage in activities. The ideal candidate will provide companionship, guiding independence, and support her in her daily routines and social interactions.

Responsibilities:

- Assist her with daily living skills and personal care
- Use alternative communication methods (if needed gestures, visuals, etc.)
- Engage in structured activities that promote learning and social interaction
- Provide emotional and loving support, and encourage positive behaviour
- Accompany her on community outings and recreational activities
- Foster independence in a nurturing and patient manner

Ideal Candidate:





- Experience working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (preferred)
- Familiarity with alternative communication methods or willingness to learn
- Calm, patient, and adaptable approach
- Robust observation skills to understand her needs and responses
- Reliable, responsible, and proactive
- Loving personality
- Require Vulnerability Check/ Police clearance
- Class 5 drivers license and access to a vehicle

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00 per hour
