Job Overview

We are seeking energetic, proactive, and reliable support staff to work with children and youth with diverse developmental and support needs.

This role requires individuals who confidently adapt to varying needs, energy levels and abilities using a proactive approach.

The focus will be on actively engaging and supporting daily routines, meaningful activities and community involvement.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide 1:1 support in home and community settings

- Plan and lead engaging, age-appropriate activities

- Support community participation and social development

- Assist with daily living skills (meal prep, hygiene, routines)

- Follow and implement Individualized Service Plans (ISP)

- Support emotional regulation and skill development

- Maintain a structured, consistent, and supportive environment

- Provide care during overnight and extended shifts when required

Schedule Requirements:

- Must be available for flexible and variable shifts

- Shifts may include evenings, weekends, overnights, and extended (multi-day) support

- Ability to adapt to schedules changing is essential

Qualifications:

- Diploma or Certificate in Child and Youth Care,



Community Disability Service Worker, Health Care Aide, or related field

- Mandt Certified

- Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NCI/CPI)

- Experience working with developmental disabilities and support needs (preferred)

- Strong ability to engage, redirect, and support active youth

- Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening

- Class 5 driver’s license (preferred)

- Valid First Aid/CPR

- Comfortable working independently within a family home

- Able to build rapport while maintaining boundaries and structure

- Creative and motivated to keep children and youth actively engaged

Job Type: Part time

Pay: From $19.00 per hour
