Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in automotive repair and heavy equipment operation, with the ability to diagnose, maintain, and repair various types of industrial equipment. This role requires a hands-on approach, utilizing power tools and schematics to ensure optimal performance and safety of heavy machinery.

Responsibilities

- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment, ensuring all machinery operates efficiently.
- Diagnose mechanical issues using schematics and technical manuals to identify problems accurately.
- Assemble and disassemble equipment components as needed for repairs or upgrades.
- Utilize power tools and hand tools effectively to complete repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Conduct inspections of heavy machinery to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and maintenance schedules.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues.
- Assist in the training of junior mechanics or apprentices when necessary.




- Perform heavy lifting as required during equipment repairs or maintenance tasks.

Qualifications

- Proven experience as a mechanic, with a focus on heavy equipment preferred.
- Strong knowledge of automotive repair techniques and principles.
- Familiarity with industrial equipment operations and maintenance practices.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics for troubleshooting purposes.
- Proficient in the use of power tools and hand tools relevant to mechanical work.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Physical stamina to perform heavy lifting and work in various environmental conditions.
- Robust communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members.
