We have an opening for a CNC Lathe Machinist based out of our SE Technical Centre for afternoon shift – Monday – Thursday 2:30PM – 01:00AM. Reporting to the Machine Shop Supervisor, the CNC Lathe Machinist is responsible for basic programming, set up and operation of CNC Mazak Lathes.
Responsibilities also include:
- Generate CNC programs for Mazak Lathes using Mazak Mazatrol Control.
- Set-up and operate CNC Mazak Lathe.
- Verify and record dimensions of parts and adjust machine accordingly to obtain desired quality of end product.
- Perform maintenance requirements on machines and maintain working area and equipment.
- Assist with training current employees.
- Other machining and QC related tasks as required.
The successful candidate will have a minimum 5 years of experience with CNC Lathe machine set-up. Experience with CNC Mazak Mill / Mazatrol Control , as well as experience in oil and gas industry and API threading, are considered assets.
