We are searching for an experienced Residential & Commercial Lead Door Technician for our client located in the Kelowna area. They could offer a relocation allowance to someone looking to move to Kelowna or the surrounding area.

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
- Rotating on-call schedule approximately once every 4–5 weeks

Key Responsibilities:

- Install, service, troubleshoot, and repair commercial and residential doors, dock systems, gate operators, automated entrance systems, and related equipment.
- Lead and mentor junior technicians on job sites.




- Participate in and support toolbox talks and workplace safety initiatives.
- Diagnose mechanical and operational issues and provide effective solutions.
- Perform preventative maintenance and emergency repairs.
- Complete electronic work orders, service reports, and timesheets accurately.
- Maintain inventory, truck stock, and company equipment.
- Communicate professionally with customers, contractors, and internal teams.
- Ensure all work is completed safely and to company standards.
- Promote a positive team environment and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Must-Have Qualifications:

- Minimum 3 years of experience servicing and/or installing commercial overhead doors, dock equipment, automated entrances, gates, rolling steel doors, high-speed doors, sectional doors, or similar systems.
- Demonstrated leadership ability with experience mentoring or supporting junior technicians.
- Strong troubleshooting and mechanical aptitude.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong computer and administrative skills, including electronic reporting and timesheet management.
- Ability to lead by example and participate in safety meetings and toolbox talks.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Comfortable working at heights and in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check.
