Work alongside the owner of a small scale organic veggies farm. With over 15 years in the business we are looking for someone passionate about organic growing to join our team. For the right person there is an opportunity to grow into a leadership position, or even start your own project on the farm. Tasks are very diversified and include all aspects of the farm working with a small team. Job activities include; transplanting, mechanical weeding, operation of hand held power tools, hand weeding, harvesting, hand picking, pruning and washing and processing. Optional position to help with sales at farmers’ markets. Work is variable depending on the season and the crop, starting with asparagus in the spring, continuing to strawberries, peas and more concluding with carrot and apple harvest in the fall.



Work includes early morning shifts, and tasks often vary throughout the day. Knowledge of pest management and nutrient management strategies will be gained and utilized throughout the season. Tasks are sometimes performed alone, but most often we work in groups or pairs. Willing to train the right person.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Casual, Seasonal, Apprenticeship

Pay: $18.00-$24.00 per hour
