Primary Job Title: Senior Finance Analyst

Location: Toronto, ON 66 Wellington Street West

Onsite Flexibility: Hybrid 4 days on site

Job Summary: This role involves interpreting balance sheets and working with a regional finance and product control team. The position requires a hands-on approach, with emphasis on being personable when interacting with stakeholders and finance-related teams. The contractor will develop an understanding of the client's balance sheet structure and underlying businesses, with a focus on upfront analysis and regional views. The role is part of a change in process for upfront analysis within a team of 1 to 2 people directly, with a larger team structure of 10.

Key Responsibilities:

- Interpret balance sheets and analyze financial statements
- Conduct upfront analysis of regional view of profit and loss (PnL)
- Work with regional finance teams on financial analysis and reporting
- Support product control team initiatives
- Analyze entity structure and revenue transfer mechanisms
- Understand and evaluate regional PnL and tax implications
- Interact with stakeholders and finance-related teams across the organization

Required Skills:





- Balance sheet interpretation and analysis
- Regional profit and loss (PnL) analysis and reporting
- Banking sector experience
- Analytics and data analysis capabilities
- Capital Markets experience and product knowledge

Preferred Skills:

- Technical capabilities in Macros and Python scripts
- Regional tax experience
- CFA or CPA certification

Education Requirements:

- University degree (mandatory)

Required Experience:

- 5 years of overall finance experience

Preferred Candidate Background:

- Personable to interact with stakeholders and finance-related teams
- Interpreting balance sheets
- Capital Markets experience with knowledge of Capital Markets products
- Understanding regional PnL and tax
- Comprehension of entity structure and revenue transfer
- Upfront analysis of a regional view of PnL
