Project Manager – Infrastructure Rehabilitation

About the Role

MRDC Operations Corporation is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and deliver a portfolio of civil infrastructure rehabilitation projects across New Brunswick. Reporting to the Project Director, this role offers the opportunity to manage projects end‑to‑end—from early planning and design through construction and close‑out—while making a visible impact on public infrastructure.

You will be responsible for overall project performance, including cost, schedule, quality, safety, and stakeholder coordination. Projects may include highway signage replacement, bridge rehabilitation, drainage culverts, and Mechanically Stabilized Earth (MSE) wall rehabilitation. This is a hands‑on leadership role suited to a motivated professional who thrives in a collaborative, results‑driven environment.

What You’ll Do

- Provide overall leadership and direction for multiple rehabilitation projects throughout their full life cycle
- Develop scopes of work, manage design through engineering consultants, and lead tendering and contract award activities
- Plan, develop, and actively manage project schedules, budgets, and forecasts to ensure on‑time and on‑budget delivery
- Monitor contractor performance and ensure compliance with contract requirements, specifications, and safety regulations
- Manage contract administration, including change orders, cost control, and monthly cost forecasting
- Collaborate closely with engineering consultants, internal project teams,



and contractors to resolve technical and construction issues
- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure all work complies with Provincial construction safety regulations
- Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and leadership to project team members
- Communicate project status clearly to internal stakeholders and senior leadership

What You Bring

- 5+ years of experience managing large highway, bridge, and/or municipal construction projects from concept through completion
- Civil Engineering degree or Civil Engineering Technology diploma with professional designation
- Structural background considered an asset.
- Qualified certification (e.g., PMP) considered a strong asset
- Experience with Department of Transportation and Infrastructure (DTI) projects is preferred
- Strong ability to read and interpret engineering and construction drawings
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven people‑management and leadership abilities
- Demonstrated commitment to quality, safety, and regulatory compliance
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean driver’s abstract

Pay: $59,243.30-$130,532.15 per year
