Medical Office Assistant (MOA)

North Island Urology | 5 Days/Week

We are a fast-paced specialist medical office seeking a reliable and organized Medical Office Assistant (MOA) to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a busy environment and enjoys patient interaction, scheduling, and coordination of care.

Position Details

- Schedule: 5 days per week
- Wage: $28.50/hour after probation period
- Advantages: Available after probation period
- No evenings, weekends or holidays

Key Responsibilities

- Answering and managing high-volume phone calls
- Booking, rebooking, and confirming patient appointments
- Coordinating and confirming test results for upcoming appointments
- Providing professional and friendly patient service at all times
- General administrative duties as required

Qualifications

- Experience working in a medical/healthcare office (specialist experience considered an asset),



dental office, veterinary office or general office experience.
- Strong multitasking and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and phone etiquette
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of medical terminology and EMR systems. Plexia experience preferred
