Reports to: Maintenance Manager

Position Summary: Join our team at the Georgian Bay Hotel & Conference Centre! We are seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician to help maintain and repair the hotel’s physical infrastructure, ensuring a safe, comfortable, and operational environment for guests and staff. This role performs preventative maintenance, responds to work orders, and assists with projects to uphold our brand standards. You’ll work closely with the Maintenance team and other departments to support smooth operations and a seamless guest experience.

Key Responsibilities:

- Respond promptly to guest and departmental maintenance requests
- Perform routine and emergency repairs in guest rooms, public areas, and amenity spaces
- Conduct preventative maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems
- Replace or repair components such as filters, fixtures, switches, and faucets
- Assist with installations, renovations, upgrades, and special projects
- Troubleshoot issues and report more complex problems as needed
- Follow all safety protocols and report hazards promptly
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs and documentation
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure a seamless guest experience

Qualifications / What We’re Looking For:





- Maintenance experience (hotel, commercial, or residential) is preferred
- Experience in a guest-facing or customer service environment is an asset
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and general repairs
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work accurately and efficiently
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Self-motivated with a positive, professional attitude
- Ability to follow directions and work with minimal supervision
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs, bend, kneel, reach, and work at heights

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $19.00 per hour
